THE 69 GP RESTO.
Purchased just before Christmass 2006 it is number 350 start of Italian GP200 production.I started resto in the new year it needed lots of welding and straightening after a little investigation it turned out it was a race bike thus reason for the straightening .
Here below is a Email sent to me by a previous owner racer.
I bought the complete racebike in 2003 from an exracer in the Nuneaton/Coventry area. It was built by Chalky White.
I raced it for 2 season's in 2004/2005 until a new baby put a stop to that!
It ran a 205 Rapido with all the go faster mods etc and was putting out 29bhp at the back wheel. I was very competitive on it. Unfortunately as you may have sussed I did crash it a few times, most damaging for the bike was at Cadwell when I exited the track at 75mph on to the grass and the bike flipped end over end about 6 times!! SORRY!!
I sold the complete bike to Steve Connelly at Interscooters. He stripped the scoot, replaced the frame with a stronger Jet frame and sold on the GP200 frame. He now races the new look bike. Thats as much as I can tell you mate. If you ever see any race photos from a couple of years back then I was No 65.
